Eric, Lead Carpenter
I'm not sure if this is true, but I think one morning at the breakfast table, when Eric was about 17 years old, his parents said, "If you want to come back here for dinner tonight, you better have a job." Well, somehow Eric called Lil' America Builders that day. I don't think he had any clue who he was calling or what we did. But we happened to need somebody as a helper and had him come out and talked to him a bit. He came to work for us many years ago ... back when he was really full of himself. Right now he's pretty calm compared to what he was then. He's always fun to have around. And, man, is he a carpenter! I'm glad he called. And, I'm glad he got into carpentry because that's just where he needs to be. He's an incredible craftsman and there's just not anything he can't figure out. It's been a pleasure working with him all these years.
Judy, Office Manager
The voice of Lil' America, Judy is most likely the first person you'll talk to when you call here. Judy has a wealth of experience ranging from Office Manager for a team of neurologists (go figure) to presenting Total Quality Management training to 1200 employees at a gasket company. (Rumor is she left that job when she blew her gasket, but that hasn't been confirmed.) She has made QuickBooks do more for us than the QuickBooks people think it can do. She doesn't just know numbers, she knows their texture. Originally from Chicago, she's recognized the error of her ways, even though she makes weak coffee.
 A Tribute to Dave Nolden
There's no way we could do a website without a tribute to Dave Nolden. It's been about five years now since Dave's been with us on a day-to-day basis, but he's never left us. Any of you who have worked with Dave or had him do some work at your house know exactly what I'm talking about. What a guy! Craftsman extraordinaire. But even a better man. He was just so much fun to be around. I laugh because people think he was so quiet and reserved. He had a helluva sense of humor and he pulled it out every time he was around us. We miss him. I had over 10 years I was able to work with him. I appreciate that. Thanks, Dave!
